United Registrar of Systems Ltd. (UNITED), is one of the fastest growing independent accredited registrars in the world, and since the formation of the company in May 1994, offers a global network of regional offices.

In addition to the regional offices, certification has been performed in countries outside of the regional office territories to ensure that any client, irrespective of their location, can be certified to the required international standard.

It is United's intention to expand, wherever there is a demand for certification, the regional office complex to ensure a regional/national identity, whilst providing a global framework for those clients who are multi-national in their business operations.

There are a number of accreditation agencies throughout the world. UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service), is but one of these accreditation agencies. However, UKAS was the first such body formed to regulate certification bodies and registrars, such as United Registrar of Systems Ltd.

Consequently, UKAS has a great deal of experience in the method and practises for this type of regulatory work. Indeed, UKAS has been a "prime-mover" in the setting of the codes of practice for the correct operation and monitoring of registrars. In addition, they have assisted other accreditation agencies in formulating their method and controls.
