Kumha has manufactured only cutting tools since 1984. The founder and former president, Mr. Ji-Young Ryu, was the well known engineer in the carbide cutting tools industry in Korea for his uppermost technology. Korean government supported him to establish high technological company by approving his scheme for introducing German facilities into Korea. Kumha manufactured only carbide cutting tools for woodworking like TCT(Tungsten Carbide Tipped) circular saw, router bits, cutters when he was established. At that time, Kumha had about 90% market share in musical instrument factories. Kumha's precision and technology were enough to have favorable comments from various types of woodworking industries. At present, Kumha produce not only woodworking tools but also metalworking tools. Especially, TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped) cutting tools have number one market share and top ranked exported products during last consecutive ten years in Korea. The superior quality of Kumha products is well known in the world, especially southeast Asia. Other fake Kumha's products can not imitate the uniqueness that is very precise and have long products life. At present, Kumha's products range from Carbide tools, HSS tools to PCD (Polycrytalline Diamond) tools. We, Kumha make it the most valuable thing not only to provide the high quality and technology but also, give great satisfaction to customers. To achieve this goal, we acquired ISO 9002 quality systems certification from URS(United Registrar Of Systems) in United Kingdom. We, Kumha will do our best to provide high quality goods with the users in work place and promise to help the workers with doing high performance in their work as a integrated cutting tools maker.

1998. 09.	Took out a utility model patent for an invention of small-sized cutting machine & saw blades (Patent Registry No. 132344)
12.	Ranked as one of the best 100 superior exporter & manufacturer among Korean nationwide companies
1999. 02.	Contracting joint study & develop cutting tools with Doowon Technical College.
04.	Make an agreement to collaborate technical science of industry with Hanyang University.
08.	Carry out an experiment and study for the project for developing high technology cutting tools with Turbo & Power Machinery Reserch Center Of Seoul National University.
